ahh i remember smfforfree .. let me have my first taste at a smf admin panel ..

why dont you make a back-up of this site and move it to your new one .. so at least you can keep all the user names and topic and posts.. its in the amin panel and there are tons of topic about it on the smfforums

It is so much easier... I should have used this version first.

nah you dont have to learn another host .. jsut get a host w/fantastico installed on the cpanel .. go to your old site under maintiance and make a backup .. go to fantastico and install a smf board and reback up your site .. bingo .. should all be the same .. you might have to redo some things on your custom theme but at least all the topics and threads will be there
