But, please don't give me that dang bath!!!!

  That is so sweet. Thanks for posting this, it did make me smile... Also reminded me my dog needs a bath, she would be mad at you if she knew.

Ah, secret to the baths is getting them to think it is play time, lol we close bedroom doors and dry our Lily as good as possible and then she chases us and we chase her till she is pooped or we are usually us lol but she loves it....

Lucy gets in the tub by herself when I ask her to, she is a good girl! I believe she secretly likes getting a bath. 

You sound like Bill, he tells me the same thing... "Make it a game"

Max is more stubborn, I have to put him in the tub, then he fights me the whole time.  Bathing him is not a game... Not one I enjoy, at any rate!

    Tell Max that there is a treat if he sits, then give him half, half-way through tell him good boy keep sitting and give the other half.... that will usually get them to stay still long enough....

Treats have to be something they like but don't get all the time, I know some will say no but a small piece of chocolate or jelly bean does the trick and really I have had dogs steal my chocolate bars, had one dog eat a flat of chocolate birthday cake ( would have feed 30 kids lol) and he survived though at the time..... ah but then he looked at me with that chocolate covered face, chocolate tonque and paw extended like if I shook the dang thing he was okay!!! He got a bath and no treats that time lol....
