Rattling bottles

* You will need a plastic water or soda bottle with a cap.
* Insert beans, ice cubes, rice or anything that makes a satisfying rattling sound.
* Do not pack the items in too tightly - leave some room for them to move around.
* Add the cap and use tape if necessary to keep the cap on.
*Alternative: Add dog treats or dog food and poke a small hole in the bottle so they get the scent.
Some dogs have hours of fun chasing such a bottle around on a smooth floor. It can also be used as a fetch or teething chew toy.

Rag ropes
*Take 9 strips of rags at least 3 times as long as you want the final rope to be.
* Braid  3 sets so that you have three braided pieces.
* Then braid those three pieces together.
* Tie a knot at each end.

This will work for tug-o-war between dogs as well as pulling contests between your dog and a human.

Make A Kong
A great summer outdoor toy...
Use a combination of biscuit pieces and peanut butter, rub it on a tennis ball  drop it in a bowl of water then freeze the whole thing.
