I dont have a Facebook page.
I heard a report that now Employers feel you are hiding something if you don't have a FP page. I find that intrusive...

What do you think?

If I wouldn't even tell friends a facebook password I sure ain't gonna tell someone I barely know! And I also think its messed up that tehy think you're hiding someothing if u dont have one... thats' messed up.

Yeah.. you sure about the password thing? That's borderline illegal, isn't it? Because of fraud issues?
In any case, no, an employer shouldn't demand anything of the sort. I think it's enough that they could find their employers on a social network like that and they keep tabs. Which is stupid enough, if you ask me.

I think its probably that they can look you up by your name but depending on your privacy settings they can't.

Oh.. okay..
In that case.. No.. it shouldn't matter what you do on facebook or off time. That is YOUR world. You want to complain about your boss, you should have the freedom to and definitely not be judged upon what is on facebook. I think your work should speak loudly enough.

It's only been 3 years since this was posted, I know it'd common for employers to check your Facebook page. I've never heard of them wanting your password. I wouldn't cooperate with that...
