I don't think it's superficial to think looks are important. Someone who is attractive will definitely catch my eye, but I have met plenty of people that aren't anything grand and I still find them attractive because of their personality.

In the end, I can honestly say that looks aren't all that matter to me when it comes to forming a relationship (friend or lover). It takes a combination of things for me to have a relationship with a person.

Why, Davagator?  Huh?

I went with till I get to know a person.

Although...I doubt that I would get with a guy who is so overweight that he is bedridden. What kind of life could you have with a person like that? A little overweight, I could handle... But that guy is not looking attractive in any way.

i go for the person inside of a person. The outside dont mean a thing to me to be honist. you might get someone who is handsome and fit. but can turn out to be an abuser. If a person is over weight that again it doesnt matter to me. has long has they treat me right

I saw another picture of that overweight person, and it looked like he had a handsome face. And he is on a diet to lose weight. I hope he loses all the weight and his bride
ends up with a handsome and fit fellow.

personality is the best thing to look for though it would be hard to be with someone really ugly .so they have to have some cuteness maybe in the eyes

I don't know. I think it's natural for human beings to be attracted to nice looking things. I mean, when you pick flowers, you look for pretty ones. When you buy something, you want it to look nice, don't you? I'm not saying I don't have things that are worn or ragged that I still love, but I think it's embedded in us to a certain extent for things to be pleasing to the eye.

 Afro I agree with you...
It is human nature to look at the outside first.

I believe it's only courteous to look the best that you can
for the sake of others who look at you.
