but the 80's refined rock

with all those studio techniques
it did hide artist with weak vocals
and masked flaws within bands
the begining of art rock

and a plethora of music videos

towards the end of the 80's
creativity was a bit stunted
because of all these mediums

Yes, many artist owe their careers to the video scene. You tube puts a whole new spin on things, now.
