Times are tough, but they're getting a lot less so at the gas pump. The latest Lundberg Survey of 5,000 gas stations around the country shows prices have taken a dramatic tumble over the last two weeks. They've dropped by an average of 48 cents a gallon. The survey puts the average price of a gallon of regular self-serve at $2.30. Mid-grade is $2.44 and premium averages $2.56 a gallon. In Florida, the average price for regular self-serve is $2.27, though, there are a number of stations that are selling gas for under $2.00. The Sam's Club in Kissimmee has gas for $1.96....The BJ's in Kissimmee is selling gas for $1.98 a gallon and the Sam's Club on South Orange Blossom Trail has a gallon of gas for $1.99. The cheapest gas was in Tulsa, Okla. at $1.89 for regular, while the most expensive was in Anchorage, Alaska, at $3.14.

This is good news. It's pretty cheap in our area now - meaning around $2.49

gas price drops due to supply and demand
there is a glut of oil around right now
OPEC intends to cut production
but it is up to the consumer to buy even though the price has fallen people are not driving as much nor will they be again autos are not selling and high end vehicles are a liability now
all this is is a slight ease in the worst economic depression since the depression and it will be some time before it gets better

Kalifornia where I live and Alaska will always have the highest gas price around.
The electric and hybred cars are okay but they do need refinement. Bigger payloads and even more mileage.
