Workers at an auto parts supplier are losing their jobs two days before Christmas, and a GM bailout won't change that.

i work in a automotave dying and finnishing plant and was told things are not looking good. we will be told in a few weeks if the doors will stay open or not. the big wigs are  meeting all next week

There are pro's and con's to unions. I belong to one but half the time our contract is under negotiation. Plus, some people take adavantage of it and don't work nearly as hard as others because they rely on their union to protect them.

i know a few people who did the same thing.. they were fired on the spot

I agree, it is not practical for everyone to make the same wages, every job is different.
