The woman who became the face of the Great Depression is remembered by her daughter.

My Ancestors talked to me in length about the Depression and what they had to do to survive.
From this bleak period in time came a generation that was prudent and knew how to save. The bad thing is that their next offspring, the baby boomers had everything given to them without the work. The result was a generation built on taking and not giving back.
We are living proof of that now. Selfishness and greed brought this economy down to its knees. Hopefully if we survive this period of time, we may learn from our mistakes or our next generation will not want to be like us.
