Hooray for you! We are on your side! One way to quit is if you have someone in your life who abhors it, and if you want to please them. Makes sense to me! I applaud your intentions and efforts.
Just say, "Smoke? No stank you".

When I quit years ago, I bought my last pack, kept it unopened, when I felt like a cig, I would get it out and think if I open it I will have only so many left, and sometimes I would put it back, then when I had to I opened it, took out a cig and held it and put it back... eventually I had to have a few puffs, and allowed only 4 puffs then put it out, that pack lasted me a month, and I have since then even lite other cigs for friends but never wanted one myself... it worked for me, maybe it will work for you good luck!!!

This is admirable, Tubers.
But we also understand this habit is very tough to break. There will be some rough times ahead in your quest to be nicotine free. Preserverance will be a mountain to climb and sometimes be unsurmountable in appearance.
Nicotine and Caffine are the two most powerful legal drugs in the world. How much we regulate other drugs is of note while we let these two in our society with wreckless abandon.
