I actually get sick of the tv and cell phones. At our place on the lake, the only thing we have is music and that's just fine by me. I'm currently trying to convince the hubby to get rid of cable. It's so expensive and most of the stuff on tv is garbage anyway.

I agree with you, Camillus...Esp about cell phones.
We got rid of satalite a year and a half ago... I got tired of paying for infomercials, reruns, and the rest of the "garbage".
I canceled a week in advance, Direct TV still tried to charge us for an extra month... Not gonna happen.

The boxes are awful. IMO. Unless of course you don`t mind watching pixils most of the time.  RRM

I spend a chunk of my time in my laundry room.

An old TV with a DVD player hooked up to it
also a old Sega Genesis in the corner
I'm living in the past!

and enjoying it!

Don`t feel like the lone ranger, Bill tells me I live in the past sometimes.
I see nothing wrong with it, as long as I come back to the future when the need arises.  Grin

I just think it's nice to live simply sometimes. I don't need all these fallible gadgets to make me happy.

During the favorable months I do not try to use electrical lights.

When the sun goes down, we improvise with candles or the such.
