A discussion on another forum brought up whether or not pit bulls can be trusted, whether they well mannered enough to be good pets, and the whole debate of what constitutes an "aggressive dog" Of which our dog (pit bull/boxer/Shepherd) is probably the most mild mannered dog ive ever had. Hell it takes a decent amount of taunting (playful obviously) to even get her to bark most of the time. Normally she just "huffs" or does one of those "iegh" wines to get our attention. If she gets tired of trying to stare at us and use jedi-mind-tricks or something lol so me ... i loaded some pictures i had saved and put some smart assed comments on them before posting them.

PS these are a lil dated, since Kara is a lil over 2 year old now and this was when she was about 6 months but its the newest pics we have since we borrowed a camera just to take these.

How cute!! Did she tear up that shirt?  Grin
I think most of the mean dogs are brought up by irresponsible owners...IMO, They dont get mean on their own.

Umm yeah.. those were some of Gabe's old boxers that we let her have as a tug of war item.. she would get them in her mouth and just shake them lol when they started falling apart, we threw them out, but not before I got that pic lol

One thing that I was most surprised with this dog, she had a sense of what was and wasn't hers from the beginning.. she did none of the puppy things like chew on the couch, or get under our desks.. none of that. But we spend loads of time with her and I train her to be very obedient. The most trouble we have with her is that she loves attention, so she tends to think that everyone that walks through that door is hers for attention whoring lol we're slowly getting her out of that stage.

And I'll admit.. she's spoiled rotten!

And Naz.. those cats look like they have attitude lol (not mean, just attitude)

You know whats funny? Your dog has very similar facial markings to our dog, Ilse. I`ll have to find a good picture to post of her sometime in the very near future.

One thing they dont have in common... Ilse likes to tear up fuzz and cotton,.our other dog, Cora helps.  We are trying to teach them to stop.

lol Kara was a blessing really, I've never had a "bad" dog.. but she's ultimately the most mild mannered as far as that stuff is concerned. and ultimately the most jealous I've had. If she's in the other room watching out her window or something, and Angel and I start talking or laughing, she'll come in here, plop her butt down and look at us accusingly, as if we started the fun without her.

The ultimate example of her wanting that attention, from the get go, she's been this way. We'll lay down and she'll slam herself down between us and lean against one of us. One night, we thought it would be funny to see what she would do and we clutched to one another, face to face and arms around each other.. we were tightly linked lol and she started at our thighs, laid down and started this whole army crawl between us, made her way to our arms and started squirming for every inch.. then, when it was clear she couldn't go any further, she stuck her tongue out.. gaining an extra few inches, which came short just below our chins.. omg.. she won, we couldn't laugh and hold on at the same time.

She's one of the funnier dogs I've had, that's for sure

And yeah, I noticed the resemblance from you puppy photos, didn't want to say anything since there was a sadness attached though Sad
