My Garden....Before and after...

Early March, 2008.
The carpets against the fence are there to kill weeds. This works really well, as long as you don`t allow the weeds to grow through it. Moving the carpet often helps prevent this.

My Tomatoes.
This is my second planting.
They are a little bigger than this now. Full of green tomato's!
You can also see some of my egg plants in the foreground. There are broccoli plants in front of the tomatos.
You can`t see the cow peas, they are kind of hidden behind the tomato's

The beans are in the foreground, behind them are egg plant, behind them are cucumbers, next row are zucchini, final row are staggered with okra, and bell peppers.
This was a while back.
Everything is much bigger now.
Except for the cucumbers, they got a mold disease, I had to pull them. The cucumbers were long and skinny as a result of the disease.

Now I need to replace the cucumbers. Not sure what I`ll plant there, since all cucurbits (squash,cucumbers, melons, and pumpkins) get the same diseases, it will have to be something in another family. The disease spreads, even after you remove the plants from the area. It will be two years before I can use this row  for cucurbits again.

Front yard tomato patch. We have been harvesting these.
I threw a tomato in the ground last winter and it produced some really yummy tomatoes.
I call them my happy accident.

This is a very recent picture. I love my garden, I guess its obvious. 
Check out how big everything got! The peppers in front next to the beans are cherry peppers.

You can see my corn plants in the very edge of the picture... There are two rows of them,
I am about to do another row so we will have a steady supply of corn, doing the same with the tomatoes.
You can see the sick cucumber plants if you look hard enough. (behind the egg plants)
They are gone now. I need to replace them with something else.

See the tiny beans? They are almost ready to pick now. This picture was taken less than two weeks ago.

wow what a transformation. Did you ever get to eat anything from your garden?
We planted a small one this year but are only seeing a few sprouts so far.

Yes, we had all kinds of goodies out of it! We bought a freezer to keep a lot of the stuff we made.

Gardening is one of my fave hobbies.

Can`t do it here though, too many critters, and we haven't got a fence,
might not be here long enough to harvest even if we did manage to grow something edible.
Deer, rabbits, squirrels would probably eat every bit of the fruit.

Maybe next year, depends on how things go.

Fantastic garden, lol we live too close to all the garden centres for me to plant veggies outside of a few tomatoes and peppers, lol I love your garden though I would love a fruit garden but won't put the money or the time out until we actually own the place lol...

And we are determined that we are moving once we get our last settlement which won't be till next year.... so my garden is mostly for my own enjoyment this year, eyesight only lol and the mural that I plan on painting is to try my hand just to see if I can lol...
