I caught a squirrel surveying my garden on three separate occasions today...
This is not good.
Henceforth they shall be referred to as tree rats.

I googled squirrels, came up with this site:

all squirrels must die!
http://www.deadsquirrel.com/top10.html

Very alarming.

Looks like it`s time to dust off the ole pellett gun. I am a pretty good shot,
so those tree rats need to go away.

Seems I have a helper in my battle against the tree rats...My neighbor was outside shooting at them yesterday.
He bought a pellet gun. Said the tree rats were living in his ceiling now.
They are pretty bad around here. We have a mess of pecan, and oak trees surrounding our houses.
Trouble with him shooting tree rats...He also feels the need to shoot the birds.  Cry
I love birds. It is very distressing to see injured cardinals floundering around outside. Makes me want the get in his face.
I know this guy though, and getting on his case about it would only make things worse.
I`m waiting... hoping he grows bored with his new toy soon.
Calling the police is a waste of time. I never call them, I have found it solves nothing.

You need a bulldog that chases squirrels.

My American bulldog, Daisy does and she got smart and just
waits for them as they cross the fence boards.

She can jump quite well, close to 10 feet and snagged a couple
during the summer months.  Needless to say, they stay up and
away from my garden and pool area.

Run, Rocky run!

Daisy wants  another chew toy!

(I try my best to get them away from her after they've been rendered
limp)

My tiny terrior loves to chase squirrls. Sometimes they get where he can't reach them
and just laugh at him. They carry off fallen apples in the winter, and I am glad
to feed them, plus get rid of the apples. After the birds in spring visit, all the
apples are gone.

I don't think people should shoot them, unless they eat them, too.

Well, lucky for them, there was no need for the pellet gun, They must have had plenty to eat outside of my garden.  Smiley
As for the post about thebirds, and my neighbor...
He did get bored with his pellet gun, the day after I posted about the birds... Thank goodness.

Squirrels are cute, but very destructive. I have no problems exterminating them if the need arises.

They are cute, but also a royal pain when they choose to be. Can`t kill them with a pellet gun.
Need a shotgun for those.
