In a new report, an insurance industry group says that raising the driving age to 17 or 18 would help save lives. They point to New Jersey, which doesn't license teens until age 17. The Garden State has a lower fatality rate among teens than other states. http://blogs.kansascity.com/crime_scene/2008/09/should-we-raise.html

I don`t think they should raise the age, but I`m willing to bet they will. You and your friends probably have time to get yours before they do...They are pretty slow about these things.

I don't think they should raise the age either. Maybe they should focus more on teaching how to drive. Age doesn't equal experience.
