Okay, here's one: Abstruse
the stars and I have seen you shine
have you burned out already?
streams of light have all melted
leaving nothing but dust to choke
play me one more song so I can dance
I promise not to fall this time
there is so much I want to tell you that
my tongue suffers every night
can a strong heart ever be swallowed?
drowned by tears?
it's the small pauses that keep me
those little pieces all tucked away |

(Things are amazing with
ginger and spice, but

Do you fan the flame
or is it all the same?
Your halo's all soiled
with bitter and shame.
You poor tortured soul
life has taken its toll
are you asking forgiveness
or raking the coals?
I'll ask you again
what is your true vice?
Are you naughty for good
or fighting for nice?
