October is Fire Prevention Month.  Are your smoke detectors working?  When was the last time you inspected your fire extinguishers?  If you don't have fire extinguishers, why not?  Most insurance policies require you to have fire extinguishers in your home.

They should be doing something. Even if they encouraged women at a younger age to start taking the matter more seriously, it would help.
