Immigration and Zero Tolerance

Arizona is now cracking down on illegal immigrants by taking a "zero tolerance" approach.  They are arresting people "that are suspected of living in the country illegally."

This approach scares some because they are actually knocking on doors and arresting people.  The thinking is that this is causing people to be harassed that may be legal citizens.

On the one hand, it is hard to crack down on illegal immigrants if law enforcement doesn't take an aggressive approach.  On the other hand, it sort of sucks to be Hispanic because you can easily be "suspected" of illegal immigration.

Do you think it is worth risking arresting a few legal citizens in an effort to crack down on illegal immigration?

i think they should hold the person until they do a background check to see if they are illegal or not rather than just sending them back w/o checking b/c if they came here legally and get sent back, it would make more of an impression on them that why bother doing legally if either way we get sent back
