BOULDER, Colo. -- A knife-wielding man who attempted to rob a Boulder gas station last week ended up walking out of the convenience store $2 poorer, according to the Colorado Daily newspaper.
Boulder Police told the newspaper the man put $2 on the counter at the Grizzly Gas on Arapahoe Avenue Friday night to buy a Snickers bar.
When the clerk took the cash, the suspect pulled out a knife and demanded the money in the cash register.
Authorities said the clerk slammed the drawer shut, backed away and called 911.
The suspect reportedly leaned over the counter and tried punching the buttons on the register, but got nothing and walked out.
No one has been arrested.
Police told the Colorado Daily the suspect not only lost his $2, he left the Snickers bar.

He better find a new line of work....
